• Column-sets that are produced by column-set-sequence flow object are controlled by column-set-model specified as value of characteristic
• Column-set-model determines geometry of columns
• Column-set-model contains flow map that determines set of ports on column-set-sequence flow object, and maps contents of port to particular zones in particular column-subsets
