Spanning

• Concept of spanning is built into column-set-sequence
• Flow object that is flowed into column-set-sequence can be made to span more than one column by specifying span characteristic on the flow object
• Two kinds of spanning: weak and strong
• Column-subsets can be tied together: spanning columns strongly in one column subset implicitly spans columns in tied column subsets
